The Gear for Girls Shop in Wooler, Northumberland
Established in 2005, Gear for Girls was the first Outdoor Shop in Britain to concentrate purely on women's outdoor clothing and footwear. Still unique, our aim is to find the best gear available for women...clothing that fits, looks GREAT and performs. That means no more baggy bums, no more shrinking and pinking by manufacturers of gear designed for men - we're looking for garments designed from the top down and bottom up to fit a woman's form.
We climb, ski, run, walk, mountaineer and head out on our bikes in the nearby Cheviots and we're passionate about what we do, so if you need any advice please get in touch. The shop is a focal point in the town with a noticeboard in-store for the local Wooler Running Club - kept up-to-date with outdoor sports events and there's a great cafe next door run by a fellow runner! A great place to drop in after a day at the nearby Bowden Crags, climbing Cheviot or checking out the biking scene in Thrunton Woods.
