Helly Hansen is one of those brands which seems to have been around forever. I discovered their life saving garments in a long race on the North York Moors many moons ago when I fell up to my armpits in a freezing cold flood swollen brook. Thanks to my Helly Lifa baselayer which still kept me warm despite being soaking wet I managed to keep going and completed the race. And by the time I finished the top was dry.
