Marmot was born in 1974 in Colorada out of the retail shop Marmot Mountain Works. They got their first big break producing down jackets for the The Eiger Sanction with Clint Eastwood. the company has grown hugely since those early days but has stayed true to its original ethics; producing the highest quality performance products.
Marmot designs a large range of women's gear and works in conjunction with some of the best female climbers around the globe to ensure that Marmot products are fit for purpose. Pictured above is Beth Rodden one of America's top all round female climbers perhaps most famous for free climbing The Nose, El Capitan. Beth is on the design board with Marmot.
