The Gear for Girls Team

Alison bouldering at Back Bowden, Northumberland

Alison

has spent a lifetime mountaineering, running and climbing throughout the world. Now happy to be based in glorious Northumberland she still tries to keep in shape running with the Wooler Running club or out biking with her family. In the very distant past Alison had 5 minutes of fame breaking the world record for running from Everest Base Camp to Kathmandu; 188 miles and 42,000 ft of ascent completed in 3 days and 10 hours with her friend Helene.  The record has recently been broken by The North Face sponsored athlete Lizzie Hawker together with Stephen Pyke.

Cindy

is shown here celebrating after completing her first ever road race - The Great North Run. As always she's smiling and I am sure from now on there'll be no stopping her.

Fiona

is new to the team and quickly making a big impact on the store. Shown here just before her first half marathon last year -  the Chris Hoy Half in Edinburgh

Nathalie

is easily our most determined staff member - she's the best person for planning long training runs so there's no chance of skimping on mileage.  Shown here at her birthday run last year she's currently training for the Cartmel Ultimate Challenge.

Sue

used to be a first class rower and still holds her own in the Vets category. She leads an action packed life - skis, runs, mountaineers, climbs, mountain bikes (have we left anything out?)

Jill

is currently on maternity leave - loved up with baby Amelia.

The Stig

We have our own version of the Stig working at Gear for Girls - rarely seen he works relentlessly in the warehouse demanding constant mugs of tea.
